boise,
I need to replace the t stats ...and elements in my 40 ga Lochinver water heatr.
it has for t stats-Apcom wh9 and wh10A.. and it has 4500 watt Apcom
elements,2.
Can I use the generic replacements that Home Depot has for stats and elements?? they are the Camco ones..

Buy a Camco Metal and Plastic Lower Water Heater Thermostat - 15417 at The Home Depot

the upper one has a different name than wh10a I think..amy ideas??? thanks

If it is the same size, I'd use it. The ones I've dealt with in the past are pretty generic.

2500 watt I think is for 120 volt heater.
Double check the voltage rating of the element.

You can use a lower rated wattage but it has to be the right voltage.
Lower rate watts means it will take a lot longer to heat up the water.

Better to match What came out with what your putting in, Generic or otherwise..
