I want to restore the air pockets in my house water system by draining the pipes. It's a one story, ranch style house. When I turn off the water main and open the inside/outside sinks/spigots, not much more than a few drops of water drains out. I think it's a gravity thing created by the fact that the piping is under the house and there are no value openings as low as the pipes.

So, how do you drain that system? Thanks!

I've got hammering that i read can be cured by flushing the system to restore air.

only, if air chambers we plumbed into your system.

if you want to drain yoursystem, but the piping is below the faucet.

buy 1 of 2 things, an air compressor or a bicycle pump

open all faucets. and blow the water out of the lines

i use both. depends on the ****uation
