Can you drain a front loader washer into a bathtub without any issue? I live in a building that washers are not allowed. And the reason given to me that the pipes are not 2.5". So connecting the washer to the main system directly to drain the washer is a big no. So, I was thinking of draining the washer into a bathtub. And the water drains into the main system from the bathtub (no different than taking a shower in a bathtub). Front loader washers use as little as 14 gallons of water. My question is that if this would be OK. If not, why?
