Drain in shower

I have one of those drains that you push down it it keeps the water in the tub and to release it you again push it down and the water goes out, my question is can you take the plunger out and clean it if so how?

I know that the drain pipe is clean replaced it.

I feel that there must be hair on the plunger and it does not drain fast so the water adds up because it is not draining.

Can someone help me out here.

Thread it off. Turn it counter clockwise.

i call them tippy toe


it also has an adjustment on it. look at it real close when you take it off

its easy to figure out
