I posted earlier about my repairing my dishwasher... well... here we go again...I have a kitchenaid dishwasher that started leaking. I bought the complete pump assembly that basically just sits in a center hole in the cabinet and is held in by 4 tabs. It has a rubber gasket that compresses and should seal it around the edge. Worked great for about a month. Now it's dripping from one spot in that rubber seal. I'm wondering (before I throw in the towel and just buy a new one) should I pull it loose and put a coat of "Food grade" silicone seal around the edge of the rubber gasket seal and attempt to put it back togeather ?
Thoughts ? Is there a better way ? And if that sounds like a feasible plan, what brand sealer would you get ?
