Brand new here, and wanted to ask a question about using a submersible pump and vinegar to descale my hot and cold water plumbing at home.
I have a water spigot right between my main shut-off valve and my home water entry point. I wanted to hook up a submersible pump to this spigot that pushes vinegar into the house while the main shutoff valve is closed, and then hook up a garden hose with an adapter to each faucet and return the used vinegar to the submersible pump bucket.
I imagine this would be effective in descaling, but is it safe for the plumbing?
Surely, I would need to then flush each component after descaling, but is this a viable method for removing the 1/8" of white scale in my 3/4" plumbing?
Thanks for the input!
