We have developed a leak in the storage tank of our under floor heating system.
Plumber says it is because the guy who installed our system used white hoses (allow oxygen to enter) instead of red hoses. (impermeable to oxygen)
The oxygen might have reacted with the glycol to form an acid that is corroding all metal parts...
or
the oxygen itself is causing oxidation and subsequent corrosion...Either way a big job, replacing all white hoses with red.
Does anyone have any thoughts / ideas on this?
Thanks...
