Cartridge Replacement

Replacing a cartridge in a bathroom faucet. Just wanted to make sure I was doing this thing right. In the pic, can the cartridge be removed with an adjustable wrench at the nut on the square? Also, should I place a channel lock on the nut at the circle to hold it while turning the adjustable wrench. There's a clip at the lower arrow and I believe the upper arrow is where the cartridge is screwed in.

Did a little research, found the model number of the faucet, called the manufacturer and some parts are on the way. Problem resolved.

I learned a lot and look forward to keep learning more about plumbing.
