Hi!

First time poster.

I have this bathroom faucet that I would like to remove without destroying it.

It seems as if the valves have a looking threaded nut from the top and once you remove
those you could lower the whole thing and take it out towards the bottom....
if you find a way to remove the faucet with probably another nut under it.
(The mixed water line is threaded on the outside.)
.

There is no access hole anywhere to unlock something with an Allen key for instance, it looks
as if the whole faucet should just come off when pulled up. (and the revealing a nut that holds
the whole thing together).
It also will not turn at all for a possible 90 degrees unlock mechanism.)

I have pulled and wiggled with considerable force but nothing moves at all.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Eric

Remove the pop up lift rod from the spout

Then from the top insert a long Allen wrench of the correct size 7/32” into the hole and turn counterclockwise.

That’s a moen mini widespread.

Yeah, once you get the spout off you use the same Allen key to loosen the entire body and then you can pop the c clips off each valve that protrudes through the sink top.

Leave it to Moen.......

WOW. Thank you! I love forums!

Unfortunately I don't have an Allen that long at hand.
I will have to get one.

But I don't see any c-clips....(second picture) on the valves.
It;s more like threaded bushing which might be another pain to get off since they are pretty corroded.

Once you get the body of the faucet loose, you can pull the clip off each valve and the faucet will drop out of the sink top.

Sounds like you are describing a snap ring.
So there should be an open area somewhere on it.
And to remove it, you can go to the area directly opposite the open area, and pry it away with a flat screwdriver.
Or cut it with a multitool.

Yep

Hi

Thank you all,

I got it off. The snap ring was totally shot on the hot water side and I had to use a Dremel to remove the remaining rust pieces.

New faucet mounted beautifully!

Thanks again.
