I am replacing a fixture in my kitchen. The hot and cold water is attached with an odd nut of some sort. I can't get a hold of it with a basin wrench. Does anyone know how to take this off?

Looks like the faucet has to be disassemble from the top. Remove the nuts that attaches the water supply lines to the faucet, then loosen the nut that is touching the bottom of the sink. After under sink supply lines are removed and nut is loosen, the faucet handles , escutcheon, and spout has to be removed to remove the faucet. Post a pics of the faucet top side.
