I'm trying to locate the cause of leaks under my two handle Moehn kitchen faucet. They appear to be coming from under the plastic connectors that hold the faucet to the sink. The supply line fittings are all tight and it is not drain water. To start it was just leaking under one faucet handle but now has spread to both.
There is no water showing above the counter, only below and no drip at the spout. So I didn't suspect the cartridges but because the water has spread to both handles I'm wondering if it's possible for a faulty cartridge to leak inside the assembly and drip through the connectors without showing any water above the counter.
I shut off the hot water, disconnected and drained the line and recoupled it. Then leaving the hot water shut off, I opened the cold water and then the water started to drip from the hot side with both faucet handles closed. I also checked the faucet screen and it's clean.
It's got me stumped.
