So I pulled this out of what appears labeled as a Price Pfister 2 knob shower setup that was installed in the mid 70's. I would like to replace the two cartridges rather than replace the whole setup but I can't find them, or anything even like them, anywhere.

What seems very different than all of the cartridges I have looked at and looked up, etc. is the large threading on the back right before the part with the washer that compresses the water flow when you turn it off. I haven't found any pfister cartridge, or any brand, that has threading back there.

If anyone can help me identify this cartridge and a potential replacement I would greatly appreciate it.

I attached 2 pictures of the cartridge, hopefully you can see them.

Thanks,

you can bring them to a PLUMBING SUPPLY HOUSE along with a pic of the trim.....you also can replace the washers on each stem.... use a flash light and check the condition of the(seats) sometimes if the seat is nicked it will continue to rip the washer its a round brass or chrome piece that the washer sits against...it will thread in and
out there are special wrenches for these but if needed its simple to remove them

Thanks for the reply Geofd. I went to a plumbing supply place, closest one to me, and they could not find it in any of their books or online. There is another place like a hour from me I can try however I wanted to see if anyone might have seen this one before first. Also that large threading is jacked up bad on the other cartridge and I will need a new one even if I can replace the washer.

Thanks,
Tim

American Standard RENUE .

looks like maybe the barrel/seat end is missing. Still inside valve.

The metal washer at end of barrel was the big clue that pointed me to look for these.
Kohler makes one similar but the stem profile didn't match

Pretty common. go back to that same store . they probably have one with the end barrel.
You just need to pull the other piece out. use the stem
