Blue Green Sediment in Tank and Water Line

I have a blue green sediment showing up in our water line. It's so prevalent it clogs our aerators every 3 or 4 weeks. It has clogged the diverter cartridges in our showers so that we don't get any hot water. Everyone seems puzzled as to what it is. Photos attached

Thanks for the response. Would this be scale from inside the water tank? Do you know of solutions?
