I am doing a bathroom renovation. I am using ABS pipes for the drains and have to connect to an inside threaded cast iron coupling/toilet flange.
Before demo, the ABS pipe was glued into the cast iron. It did not leak but I have heard that you aren't supposed to directly connect abs to cast iron.
What would be the best method for this?
I have attached a beautiful paint sketch for you guys \
Edit: By the way, there is not room to attach a fernco over the cast iron.
Edit 2: Is it possible to remove the toilet flange without breaking the sanitary tee it is connected to? They are both cast iron.
