Bathtub/Shower not running water

My bathtub faucet suddenly stopped working. I turn on the faucet and nothing comes out. I am assuming the value is in the crawl space because I can't find it anywhere else so it hasn't been turned off. I don't think the pipes are frozen because we live in Oregon, all the other faucets/toilet in the house (including the outside hose which is directly on the other side of the wall), and I have already tried all the tricks (just in case). What else could it be? THANK YOU!!

Is the stem for the faucet actually turning? Maybe the handle is stripped even though it is still attached and feels like it's turning. The handle might not be rotating the stem. Also, it can be an issue with the mixing valve inside the wall.

You have to pull the handle out in order for it to turn on. It seems to be working fine but maybe that still could be the problem?
