Hello all!
I installed a new vanity and the new sink doesn't line up perfectly with the drain pipe in the wall (the old sink did). The swing from the P trap isn't enough to bring it to center with the drain from the sink, so I need to add a 90 to the left.
I went to Home Depot yesterday to figure out a solution and I forgot that there is already a ABS trap adapter that's glued to the pipe in the wall.
Originally, my plan was to thread a 1-1/2" coupler onto the black ABS adapter in the wall and run a 1-1/2" 90 degree elbow to the left and then out of the elbow a 1-1/2" to 1-1/4" trap adapter for the P trap assembly. This would have been perfect, but the coupler from the ABS was too large, it needs to be 1-1/4 female thread.
I was thinking I could do one of TWO things:
Get a 1-1/4" coupler (female thread to thread onto the ABS, and a smooth female on the other end for the 90 degree 1-1/2" elbow). The only issue is, I don't think they make an "increaser" (opposite of a reducer) to go from 1-1/4" back up to a 1-1/2".
OR, I can get a 1-1/4" threaded coupler to go onto the ABS body in the wall and run a 1-1/4 90 degree elbow off of that. BUT I can't seem to find a 1-1/4 to 1-1/4 trap adapter in a store (haven't looked in person, but nothing online at HD, Lowes, True Value, or Menards). They do sell them online, but I was wanting a solution for TODAY.
Ideas??
