Hi, I'm trying to fix a leaky bathroom faucet. It's pretty old.

The spout is dripping, very slowly though.

I'm trying to remove the faucet handle. I've managed to remove the cap and the screw, but I cannot get the handle off. I've tried giving it a good pull and it won't come off.

Any thoughts?

The screw washer did look a little rusty.

Try getting some PB Blaster or other penetrating oil and soaking it good. Then after a while you should be able to wiggle it off.

and get faucet handle puller so you dont break anything in the wall while trying to remove it. after the handle comes off you will remove the chrome escutcheons then with a deep socket remove the valve stems. take them to ace hardware and they will have repair and replacement parts. forget the big home centers for these parts.
