Hello, new to this forum- Hello!!!
Looking for some clarification on installing a back water valve in exsisting home. Concrete removed to expose pipes in basement... From municipal system 45* up into cleanout, to 4/4/3 wye into 4/3" coupling to 3/3/3 wye. All tightly packed. Can barely get the new mainline back water valve in using 2- 3" wyes and a 3-4" bushing placed into the 4" back water valve. This leaves just enough room to put it all together. Curious if going from 3" directly into the BWV would impede flow or venting at all. In a perfect layout I would be able to transition using another 4/4/3 from the 3 wye then a couple of feet pipe but unfortunately this is just not possible... Any prof. ideas on this or code requirements??? thanks in advance!!!
