4 unit building - single unit water shut off?

Do most 4 unit buildings have a water shut off for each unit? Would it be by the main water valve.

most 4 unit buildings if rented have 1 shut off for each bldg.

if you are having a problem, contact your landlord

If they don't it is an investment worth looking Into ... Most multi unit buildings I work in do have individual shut-off valves to control each unit without having to shut down the entire building as well as having to drain an entire building instead of one unit ..
Check behind the toilet or under the sinks for an access panel.
