Found this: What the H is it ?

Found this strange ell in fittings parts box. Sure don't remember buying it. Chromed screw was made for an allen wrench to tighten/loosen, and found screwed into fitting.
Anyone know what this gizmo is / what it's used for?

That looks like a barrel faucet seat.....

That' looks like part of a washing machine mixing valve,the mixing valve fits over the part with the hole

Looked at the clothes washer single-lever on/off supply valves I bought as a "lot" years ago. Yes, looks like it maybe came from one of those. ??
