sink tailpipe too close to inline wastpipe, p-trap won't fit

WHY ???? the way it is now, it has no vent on the first lav, if you tun the 90 out

the water from the left lav will always bubble up into the right.

you have both drains on the same level/pipe

they need to drain seperatly, into the vertical stack.

so, cut a tee in low run the pipe in between the 2 sinls, 90 up

set a cross. .connect that vent that is their. your aav wil not be needed

So in my "bad" pic the sink 1 water flow would siphon out the trap of sink 2 regardless of either the AAC or the vent pipe? You propose that since I want my outlet pipes at the height I'm hoping I keep the vent and drain in same location but attach drains as drawn? That drain is hard to move down but I think per my drawing I don't have too.
That is a ton of rework. Is the way I have it ok but not optimal? I'm surprised it would siphon with both an AAC and vent occurring prior to hitting second drain.

Ok the 2 inch final pipe poses a bigger problem due to access, let me look at that further. Meanwhile for the plus, space is tight on the left so can I use a double sani t and if not, when I use the double wye with 45 to join is it preferable to
A drill a bigger hole in stud so the lip of the 45 is in the hole or
B shift the vertical vent to the right using two 45 connectors before coming down into the top of the double wye.

I'm reading 1 1/2 supports 3 dfu, and I'm seeing upc allows two sinks if they drain into vertical, which these would just prior to going horizontal via the double t. Making the a 2 inch drain we be really hard. If 1 1/2 is code I'm fine with not having 2" drain. Can you confirm for pa that it must be 2"?

On the other side of the wall (total run about 30") it connects into a 2" that then runs to a 4", does that help?

So, its redone. Here is a pic. (pic1) The inspector said that if i use 1 1/4 p-trap instead of 1 1/2 then all is good, so redone with receptors for 1.25 instead of 1.5. Note the long sweep at the bottom of the double Y...I went with this as it seemed smarter as less chance of a clog with just a 90, but i'm wondering if it is a preference thing or if there was a code. I still need to get this inspected so need to put up some nail protectors, but i'm happy with this re-work although it was a TOTAL pain as I had to drop the horizontal down.

While dropping the horizontal down i redid how it connects into the 2" drain. Notice the old pic (pic2) has a T on its back, notice i redid it with a Y. (pic3)

While i was at it, i put a AAV on the washing machine drain (pic4) . Nobody has said anything yet, but after looking closely at this mess, it was using the same vent as these two lav sinks...and as a wet vent....and too far away....so now all should be good.

Enjoy pics. I surely learned a ton and although this was alot of work this weekend, i feel better that this will be "proper".

(Yeah, the inlet piping is kinda lame, but it is what it is).

pics 2,3,4 need to be rotated to the right...sorry about that...

That still fails every code that I'm aware of. I don't know about IPC.

Your double wye with 45's, needs to be a double tee wye or sanitary tee. By code your slope on your trap arm can not be greater than the diameter of the pipe before it hits the vent.

Thanks for the commentary. I asked the inspector about the double tee vs double wye and he said NO to the double T. Lets hope i didn't get it confused as I was not quite clear that there is indeed a doubleTeeWye...but i'm pretty sure he said with 45's. I think he said "NO to the T" b/c water can wash across the drain into the other arm in theory.

Meanwhile, to at least give me some encouragement, can you comment on
1. The aav on the washing machine drain line. That was a good idea to do right? I mean, sure a vent would have been best, but since this thing was on the same dang air vent as these sinks that would have been too many DFU's for the 1.5 vent, right?
2.The redo i did of the sani-t on its back changed to a wye. Since i was getting into messing with the other side of the horizontal drain of these sinks (the right side that goes through the wall) by having to cut it to then drop it down, i may as well have fixed that stuff, right? Or, was it indeed ok as it was but now it is just better?
3. Was it better to put in a wide 90 at the bottom instead of a tight 90?

Thanks for your commentary. I'll post once it passes or whether it needs more work. Interesting point about the slope of the trap arm. The trap isn't in the pic. Assuming you know that, i interpret your point is that it would effectively create an S trap, with the possibility of it syphoning off the P trap as it runs down the 45 degree run.

I hope the pieces of pipe you used in between fittings were longer than 1"? That is too short to make a secure connection. If only 1", cut it all out and re-do with 1 1/2" "joiners" and without AAV.
