Hi,
I will need to cut off the end of a pvc line which is under concrete, providing little access to the end that needs to be cut off. I can’t for instance use a hacksaw (or even just the blade) and even a small pvc cutter will not work due to space restrictions. (The end of the pipe is coming through a hole under and in the concrete and is unfortunately flush with the hole, not sticking out of it. The hole diameter is somewhat, but not very much, larger than the pvc diameter which is approximately 1”.)

I’ve thought of (but hadn’t tried) maybe using a propane torch to heat the end of a wood chisel and kind of melt/cut it off? Any thoughts on that?

Also, I’m wondering if anyone has another out of the box suggestion for other unconventional ways to cut pvc in a tight space?
The pvc is thin wall (sch. 20 I think) and I don’t need a straight cut – I just need the end off.
Thanks.

Thanks Twowaxhack - I may not have access to the inside but this saw is a great idea if I do (and I didn't know they made such a saw).

Not sure if this will work but I use what's called a string saw it's a peice of steel cord about 1/16 or 1/8 in diameter the friction of the cord cuts right thru PVC they are sold at home depot or lowes

Use a vibrating (also called oscillating) tool (Bosch, Ryobi, Chicago Electric, etc.), this will do the job.

I hadn't thought of or known about most of these so thanks for coming thru with all of these great choices everybody!
